Hard drives are storage, or mass storage and devices for storing large amounts of data. Its purpose is to save everything there is on your computer want you go on what you delete, your software, and all the files. There is two different types of hard drives external and internal.Internal hard drives usually just are more up graded and have different accessories but stay the same shape but not size. External hard drives are a little different they just plug in with a USB cord for more memories or backup drive. A current regular 300g hard drive is 1,099,99 and a USB drive is around $20 to $30. Hard drives are a persons brain it stores memory and saves main information in it. If is didn't have it you could not save anything and would be like a person that forgets everything every time they go to bed.
